On May 16, 2026, Hainan Lausanne Tourism University (HLTU) hosted its 2026 Admissions Information Session in Hangzhou.
Established in the Hainan Free Trade Port with academic support from EHL Hospitality Business School — one of the world’s leading hospitality management institutions — HLTU is welcoming students from Zhejiang Province for the first time this year, offering a new international pathway in tourism and hospitality education.

During the event, HLTU’s academic and admissions teams introduced the educational philosophy, dual-degree structure, practical learning model, admissions policies, and career development opportunities.

Dr. Luciano LOPEZ explained how HLTU combines EHL’s academic approach with the evolving needs of China’s hospitality and service industries.
Students graduating from HLTU receive dual degrees from both Hainan Lausanne Tourism University and EHL Hospitality Business School, providing internationally recognized qualifications and access to global career opportunities. Graduates from HLTU may pursue careers not only in tourism and hospitality , but also in industries such as luxury retail, finance, consulting, and real estate.

The academic team also introduced HLTU’s hands-on learning environment and the educational philosophy inspired by the Lausanne model.
This learning approach combines practical experience with business and management education in areas such as marketing, economics, and leadership, helping students connect academic theory with real-world application throughout their studies.

During the session, the admissions team introduced the latest admissions policies for students from Zhejiang Province. HLTU also offers a range of scholarships, including full first-year tuition awards for outstanding students.
Located in Haitang Bay, Sanya, HLTU offers students access to a wide range of internship and industry learning opportunities through its connections with leading hospitality and tourism partners.

During the event, a current HLTU student also shared her experience studying at HLTU. She spoke about adapting to the immersive English-language environment, participating in practical courses, and experiencing a more interactive style of learning.

As the hospitality and service industries continue to grow in China and across Asia, HLTU aims to provide students with an international learning environment that combines academic study, practical experience, and close industry connections.
